POSTAL SAVINGS
CDP issues postal savings products, which are placed by Poste Italiane through its more than 14 thousand post office around the country. The funds raised are used to finance the growth of the country.
LENDING TO PUBLIC ENTITIES
CDP is the leader in financing public investment. It grants specific purpose loans to central government, the regions, other local governments, non-territorial public entities and public-law bodies.
SUPPORT FOR THE ECONOMY
CDP is a key partner of the Italian economic system, using both debt and equity instruments.
INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT
CDP is a catalyst for the development of the country's infrastructure. It supports public interest projects and companies for investments in infrastructure to be used in delivering public services.
PUBLIC BUILDING AND SOCIAL HOUSING
CDP operates in the private social housing sector in order to expand the supply of social housing for lease at controlled rents and sale at affordable prices.
LEVERAGING REAL ESTATE ASSETS
CDP supports regions, provinces, municipalities, universities, local health authorities and enterprises controlled by these entities with assistance and advice to help them leverage their property portfolios.
ENVIRONMENT
CDP finances energy efficiency initiatives and projects to reduce greenhouse gas emissions as part of the implementation of the Kyoto Protocol.
INTERNATIONAL ACTIVITIES
CDP is a founding member of the Long-Term Investors Club, along with France’s Caisse des dépôts (CDC), the European Investment Bank (EIB) and Germany’s Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW). Founded in 2009, the Club is open to other investors from around the world. Its goal is to affirm the key role that long-term investing plays in ensuring financial stability and spurring international economic growth
MARKET FUNDING
In order to support the financing on competitive terms of the infrastructure projects of private-sector enterprises operating in the public services sector, CDP conducts private placements of ordinary bonds with institutional investors.
EQUITY INVESTMENTS
CDP is the main shareholder of Italian companies operating in Italy and abroad.
